"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Yes it is. I have seen many sites that offer you to showcase your art, but none of them are as good as dA. 500px, shutterbug, flickr, tinypic, photobucket, these sites might be good for some artists but I would prefer dA anytime over them.
The community on dA is very friendly and supportive and its easier to share your artwork here on dA. Easy to organize your gallery and favourites. They are groups for almost every type of artist out there and you could easily get inspired by the artists which share their art there, and contests which are for every level of artist from amateur to professional. And those who have a premium membership have a lot of fun here I can say though I never had one.
I have rejoined this site after deleting my old profile on which I was inactive after a time.
So do you think too that dA is the best art sharing site?
Photography is the art I know. I am an amateur who want to learn and master the art of photography also share the pictures taken by me. So watch me.....
im trying to get my other deviant art page some attention, if you watch this [link] page and fav some of the stuff you like the look of i will watch you and go through your gallery and favourite everything i like the look off and donate if that option is available on your page
